BACK IN 2004, A SMALL GROUP OF TRIATHLETES GOT TIRED OF RACING IN GEAR BUILT FOR OTHER SPORTS AND RECYCLED FOR TRIATHLON. SUITS THAT BUNCHED AT THE SHOULDER DURING THE SWIM. SHORTS THAT CHAFED BY MILE 40 OF THE BIKE. COMPRESSION SOCKS THAT PROMISED RECOVERY AND DELIVERED NOTHING.
SO THEY BUILT THEIR OWN - TESTED IT IN THEIR OWN TRAINING AND THEIR OWN RACES, AND KEPT REFINING IT UNTIL IT DIDN'T JUST MEET EXPECTATIONS IT EXCEEDED THEM. SLS3 WAS BORN.

Jim is SLS3's owner and resident triathlete. As a 10x Ironman finisher and Kona qualifier he has earned his place among the sport's best. That elite performance mindset shows up in everything he does, obsessed with the details...from finding the perfect chamois pad, to tweaking aero fabric placement, to optimising suit breathability. Every detail matters when you're racing for seconds. His entrepreneurial, go-getter attitude runs through the business too: if something isn't working, iterate. If something is flying, aim higher.

As SLS3's CEO, Pippa brings a unique combination of 15+ years in the fashion industry, paired with even longer racing triathlons herself. As a mum of two, she also knows there's no time to waste worrying about whether your gear will hold up when it matters most. That understanding shapes everything SLS3 does. For Pippa, high performance isn't a slogan, it's the standard the team holds itself to in every stitch, every fabric choice, and every interaction with the athletes, who trust SLS3 to show up on race day. Pippa builds SLS3 as she were the one racing in it... because she is.
